About
How I Got Here
I grew up in a family business. My fathers and his sibling owned a milk distribution and ice cream business which my grandfather started in 1946. Since my teens and into my early thirties, I worked for my family selling and delivering ice cream. I often tell people I have seen more melted ice cream than people eat in a lifetime.
After graduating from the College of Charleston, I spent ten years selling ice cream and going to night school to earn my Master's in Business Administration and Master of Arts in Economics.
Since 2009, I have been teaching business and economics courses at a community college and earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
I have experience in multiple course delivery formats and systems and have earned my Quality Matters Teaching Online Certification.
